<lj:music>Blue October - Razorblade</lj:music>

Oh...my..goodness. Three new cd's in three days, I don't know how Cho does it..actually, I don't want to know, as she wouldn't want me knowing exactly how she managed to get an entire album online with the restrictions...but still. This is..amazing. The band is Blue October..yeah, another American band. I know that's even more dangerous, but it's all Shenji and Mura's fault. They're the ones that got me hooked on music like this. And this...seriously. Amazing.

"Sing with me...

A brief bout with a razorblade cut me
I freaked out, thinking people didn't love me
I watched closely as the you I knew forgot me
In letting go, I am so proud of what I've done.."

Yeah, it sounds "emo" (I think that's the word for it) ..but it's not. And the song after that is all soft and such, while Razorblade is pretty hard. But I'm..addicted to them. One of the best cd's Cho's ever gotten for me. Definitely will have to share them on the bus.

Anyway...just another late night for me. I know I need more sleep, but bleh. Sleep is for the weak!

(OOC note- Cho, Shenji, and Mura are all neighborhood friends..the guys (and girl) that got her into such music. She doesn't see anyone but Cho anymore since they moved..but yeah)

    <lj:music>Dir en Grey - Filth</lj:music>

..Death...to..Henji.

I caught him trying to look up my skirt this afternoon. I smacked him and he skittered off, but still. Stupid guy just wants a piece of ass from every girl in the class, so I don't feel special. I was just his prey for the day. I mean..seriously. What is it with that guy? If you listen to Barbie, I'm nothing special. But meh.

And in other news..Cho got me another cd, this one with a mix of domestic and American rock. Quite a bit of Dir En Grey, along with a few more NIN, Breaking Benjamin, and Lacuna Coil songs. Oh, and this one song, I forget the name and I haven't ripped it to my laptop yet, but it's quite cool. I just want to close my eyes and listen to it for ages.

And the trip..just a few more days. I can't help it. I'm worried. Given that the program happens around the Spring, but on no specific day, I can't prepare. I can just hope that I'm being overly paranoid. And poor Mom. She's even worse than I am. She isn't even singing anymore and keeps walking around with this weird look on her face, like she knows something is going to happen.

And a while back Nao mentioned tranquilizers in her journal for me. I'm beginning to think that's not a bad idea. -_-

    <lj:music>Foo Fighters - Best of You</lj:music>

Okay..here we go.

Name: Naomi Miyasaki
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Date of Birth: December 25
Report Card: C

Personal Information

Appearance: Naomi is a average looking girl, who takes great care to keep herself looking nice and clean..though not to the extent of say..Asuka and her group. She's got flawless skin, a result of her aunt being a dermatologist. She dresses somewhat conservatively, but always tends to look cute. Her hair is dark brown, layered to her shoulders and she has dark brown eyes, which always look completely lost in space.

Personality: Naomi is a bubbly girl, and gets along with just about everyone. She's one of the few people that can truly become friends with people from every way of life, due to her completely trusting and unassuming nature. She knows people have flaws, but she looks past them on everyone, and finds the good deep down. Hence the reason she's the unoffical "welcomer" for new people to the school. However, Naomi does have flaws of her own. She's a little too bubbly and obsessive about certain things, such as whatever the latest pop group is, or the latest anime. Her obsessiveness tends to put people off at times.

Strengths:
Friendliness - The girl gets along with everyone...though some of them are just humoring her.
Knowledge - She's not smart. But she does know various completely random facts that can be some good.
Physical Ability - She does Yoga. 'nuff said.

Weaknesses:
Too trusting - Anyone can take advantage of her.
Unintelligent - She's just not..smart. Not booksmart, not street smart
Asthma - Yeah, that's definitely not cool.

Overnight bag: Naomi packed her makeup, skin creme, two different shirts (A button-up grey one, and a purple t-shirt with a puppy on it), a pair of jeans, and a pair of sweatpants for pajamas. She also brought a couple of boxes of pocky to share with everyone, as well as the basic essentials (i.e. brush, toothbrush, etc)

Student Background & History

Family:

Rei Miyasaki - Naomi's mother..just the typical mother, staying at home and taking care of her children.

Shinji Miyasaki- Naomi's father, a worker for the government in a low paying menial job..but hey, it pays the bills.

Gin Miyasaki - This is the girl that just showed up one day, at the age of 8, on the Miyasaki's doorstep. She had been abused by her parents and came to the family looking for help. She was soon adopted after a rather interesting legal struggle, and quickly became part of the family. She loves Naomi as her own little sister (They're two years apart) and the two get along well.

History:
Since this is an NPC, we won't go into too much detail..buuut...She's just the typical girl, with few things that happened in her past that are even noteowrthy. Her life hsa been safe, but dull.

Teacher Observations

Class Behaviour: Naomi is one of the most wonderful people I have ever worked with, even though she's not that intelligent. She has a special way with people, and gets along with everyone in the class- no small feat in itself, given the variety of people in the class. She could use some tutoring in some subjects, especially geography, but her maths scores tend to be higher than expected.

Friends/Relationships:

Essentially the entire class. She doesn't have any good friends, but she skirts around everyone's group.

And...

Name: Kyo Habashiro
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Date of Birth: June 8
Report Card: B+

Personal Information

Appearance: Kyo has brown hair, kept slightly spiky. He often dresses in baggy clothes outside of school, with whatever the latest trendy brand logo is on it. He loves to look "gansta"..but with his own personal flair. He doesn't completely follow trends though, as he will often just lounge around in sweatpants and an old t-shirt when the mood strikes.

Personality: He's a rather upbeat kinda guy, though prone to random bouts of depression. He's generally well-liked by the class, and loves music...though it tends to mostly be the local government okay'd stuff. Still, to him, music is music and he'll listen to anything. He's also pretty laid back, but if someone crosses him, then all bets are off. He's also the kind that will do whatever he can to help someone who needs it.

Strengths:
Music - He loves it, knows the power of it. And he's good at both playing it and singing it.
General Attitude - He's laid back, which is a good thing, as few things bother him.
Karate - He's had several years of lessons, though is better at forms than sparring

Weaknesses:
General Attitude - Sometimes being laid back..isn't so much of a good thing.
Nightmares - No one knows, but Kyo is constantly plagued by nightmares, though there's no real reason for it.
Headache's - Similar to Akemi, he gets headaches when quite stressed. However, he doesn't have the medication to deal with it.

Overnight bag: Several notebooks with song lyrics, as well as the sheet music from the latest piece that he's trying to learn how to play. A school notebook, several pencils, and a calculator. Also a change of clothes (Jeans and a white t-shirt), a ballcap, and various needed things (i.e. toothstuff, comb, etc)

Student Background & History

Family:

Misato Habashiro - His mother, and the breadwinner of the family. She works for a design company and makes quite a bit of money..which is good, as there's no other income in the family.

Kaori Tsukamoto - His father's sister, and a freeloader on the family. After Tetsuji left Misato, Kaori moved in to help her "greiving sister-in-law." Not exactly. More like a free ride for food and a place to stay. Misato hates it, but can't get her to leave. Kyo despises his aunt for this.

History:
Again, as this is just an NPC, I'm not going into too much detail. His father left the family when he was 11, and he's lived with his mother and aunt since then. No other really major events in his life, aside from being picked for the (Japanese equivilent of) all-state symphony the year before, for his flute playing.

Teacher Observations

Class Behaviour:
A well rounded student. He gets good grades and tends to get along with people, though there are a few that he doesn't like very much. Still, this hatred rarely surfaces and he is truly a model student.

Friends/Relationships:

Eh..none at the moment.
<lj:music>NIN - The Hand That Feeds</lj:music>

I am going to fucking KILL her. I don't care if she sees this, but Barbie is going to fucking DIE. No one, and I mean no one, talks about my mother in such a way.

YOU TRY LOSING YOUR HUSBAND AND DAUGHTER AT THE SAME TIME, BITCH! SEE IF YOUR PROZAC SAVES YOU THEN!

Seriously...I get the chance, that bitch is going DOWN.

....But in other news, Cho managed to get me another cd with burned music on it. I'm liking it. Muchly. I'm rather glad that I decided to take those English classes, because now I can understand what they're saying. Only thing that's keeping me from breaking into her precious room and strangling her until she's just a lifeless fucking doll.

Note to self. Rip this cd to my laptop.

    <lj:music>Breaking Benjamin - Forget It</lj:music>

General Information

Name: Akemi Isamu
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Date of Birth: October 28th
Report Card: A

Personal Information

Appearance: Akemi has mid-back length black hair, kept completely straight. She dislikes all hair products, and because of that, her hair is quite healthy and shiny, all natural-like. It's usually pulled back in pigtails, just because it's what her sister did,and since she idolizes Natsumi...yeah. Her eyes are naturally dark brown, nearly black, but she wears contacts that make them green. She's relatively tall, at 5'6", and skinny, but not anorexically so. Her attire tends to be basic jeans and a t-shirt with some condescending phrase on it. Cute and trendy clothes annoy her, so when not in her school uniform she shuns them. She does, however, have an affinity for traditional Japanese garments, and owns two kimonos, worn for special occasions.

Personality: Paranoid. In one word, that is Akemi's personality. She thinks that everyone is after her for something, and that terrible things will happen to her and her friends-- not that she has many, thanks to her distrustful nature. Akemi finds it hard to keep friends, as she tends to freak them out with not only her paranoia, but her intense hatred for the government. However, underneath her rather odd exterior is a very loving and giving person. For the people she does care about, she will do anything at all in her power to make sure they're happy. She's prone to violence, mostly due to her frustration at being ignored and her warnings unheeded.

Strengths:
Intelligence- She can read between the lines, and has the rare combination of being both book smart and street smart.
Fighting skills- Against a highly trained martial artist, or gunman, she doesn't stand a chance. But growing up on the bad side of town gave her street skills, and she will not ever hesitate to kick a groin, or bite anywhere it would hurt. Hair pulling's fun too.
Survival skills- Alone on a mountain for three weeks? No problem! After spending half her childhood at various girl scout-esque camps when not learning on the streets, she knows what berries not to eat, what leaves to stay away from, and how to sanitize water.

Weaknesses:
Paranoia- Everyone is out to get her. She thinks. It's not to the point of being an actual psychological problem, but it keeps her from trusting people and making friends.
Prone to headaches- Stress hurts her. Literally. During periods of high stress she has to take medicine, or the pain will leave her curled up in a ball, completely useless unless she had her medication.
Whiney and loudmouthed- She hates the government. Every student knows that. So does the government. She's not wanted to win.

Overnight bag: Given her paranoia, for the school trip she worried about Battle Royale. A swiss army knife, along with a bowie knife were put in her bag, and a small shortwave radio. Her laptop as well. And since it's a school trip, a notebook, a sketchpad, plenty of pencils, and a camera. Change of clothes (Jeans and a plain black t-shirt), brush, various "lady things."

Student Background & History

Family:

Utsumi Isamu- Akemi's mother. A high school dropout with dreams of being a popstar. That died when Natsumi was born, to a crackhead father. Realizing her dream wasn't going to come true, Utsumi took up a job as a waitress in the bad part of town, where she met Jun, Akemi's father. As time passed, Utsumi saved enough money to move to a better part of town, only to have Natsumi's new class be picked for Battle Royale

Jun Isamu- (deceased) Akemi's father. He graduated at the top of his class, and had planned on going to the best university in Japan until he was found at the wrong place at the wrong time and was busted for dealing cocaine. He was innocent, but spent ten years in jail for it anyway. When he got out, he was friendless and penniless until meeting Utsumi. They got married, and eventually moved. When Natsumi's class was chosen for Battle Royale, he protested and was killed, in front of Utsumi and Akemi.

Natsumi Isamu- (deceased) Despite the poverty of her mother, Natsumi had everything going for her. She looked like a j-pop idol, she was highly intelligent, and she was being considered for a modeling career at the age of 15. More important than that, she was a genuinely nice person. When the family moved, her class was chosen for Battle Royale, and she was among the first killed.

History:

Akemi was born 16 years ago, to Utsumi and Jun Isamu. Her first fourteen years were spent living in the wrong part of town, dodging fights and perverts the entire time. She quickly learned how to fend for herself, but because her family truly loved her, Akemi didn't become jaded, and didn't fall into the life of drugs, sex and illegal rock and roll. Well...perhaps a bit on the last one. She was sent to various charity girl scout-like camps, where she learned basic survival skills in wilderness areas over the summers, and her winters were spent in school, where she was the model student. Good grades, very polite. Not at all what one would expect from a girl from the bad part of town whose family had no money. She did, however, learn to listen to rock music from several of the older boys in the neighborhood, who treated her as a little sister. She kept this fact hidden from her family, not wanting them to get in trouble with the government.

Her entire early childhood was like that, with few things standing out. She had several pet dogs and cats, all strays that she fed from her own dinner plate so they wouldn't starve. A few died, which was rather depressing, but she was an upbeat girl who also idolized her older sister, the beautiful Natsumi. When not playing with her friends down the street, she and her sister and mother would sing pop songs together. It was a happy childhood, despite the terrible living conditions.

That all changed when she was fifteen. Her parents had finally saved up enough money to move into a better part of town, and both Akemi and Natsumi started school. She got along with her class well...until the fateful day when three government agents showed up at her home, telling her that her sister's class had been selected for the "program." Jun wasn't at all happy with this and was murdered in front of Utsumi and Akemi. This was the beginning of Akemi's problems.

Brokenhearted at the death of both Natusmi and Jun, Akemi and her mother moved to yet another city, where they could build a new life. Akemi began school again, but she was different somehow. Paranoid. Rebellious. Not in front of her mother, but in front of her new classmates. She repeatedly warned them about the evils of the government and told them to beware class trips, as that would surely lead to their demise. This didn't earn her many friends.

Teacher Observations

Class Behaviour: Akemi has a definite problem with authority. She doesn't ever disturb class, but there's a rebellious streak in her. She's an intelligent girl, but even after just transfering this year, she is already on my watch list. A girl who doesn't care about fashion, and spends more time with her computer than people? Not good. I understand that her family moved because of some terrible circumstance, but that doesn't giver her an excuse to act anti-social.

Friends/Relationships: (More to possibly come)

Naomi Miyasaki - Perhaps Akemi's first friend at the school. If you can even call it a friendship. Naomi is not a very smart girl, but extremely bubbly and outgoing. When Akemi started at the school a year ago, Naomi quickly introduced her to everyone, doing her part of the unofficial welcomer. Since then, she has often sat with Akemi at lunch, but they never hang out outside of school.

Kyo Habashiro - The boy in class Akemi is madly crushing on. He's smart and popular, and a musician. He doesn't do sports but is a nice guy, and one of the students that will go out of his way to help someone in need. He's never noticed her, but she has hopes that he one day will.

Nao Fuyukyou - One of the girls that Akemi actually gets along with. See nao_fuyukyou

Shizuru Hanazawa - Another of the girls that Akemi gets along with. See shizuruhanazawa

Asuka Akashita - The "queen bee" of the school, whom Akemi despises above anyone else. See asuka_akashita

*mock friends only*

Ergh. Just a few more days until this trip. And I'm getting...seriously worried. Call it a premonition or something, but I had a dream where I saw Yen and Asuka fighting to the death. Although...that would be kind of amusing. The two super intelligent people kicking each others ass. But still. And then Ms. Ren is acting really weird lately. Like...taking notes when we say something, spying on our conversations. It's kinda creepy.

But I can't not go on this damn trip.

And another thing. I'm kinda getting sick of the other girls. Well, not all of them. Naomi is okay. But Asuka's crowd, sans Ayumi...blargh. She's really the only nice girl out there. But the others are just being bitches. Well..okay. Nao's not bad, but she just doesn't give a fuck. Same with some of the others.

Although...if this class did participate in the program..it'd be highly interesting to see who won. BAH! Why am I thinking about this!? It's only goingt o make me more and more paranoid. Meh.

....Well shit.

In class today, teacher says we have a quick trip, just an overnight. Naturally I don't want to go, but nooooo. This one counts as 50% of our grade. I could skip it...but then I'd fail. And failing is not an option. Last thing I need is to have another year, being paranoid that my class is going to be killed off. But I figure..I'll go on this one, but bring my kit. After all...having an extra knife, more food, and a ham radio can't hurt!

But still...it's probably just me being paranoid. What are the chances that this program will happen to me? When Natsumi and Dad died, we moved..and this school, like..twelve years ago, had a program happen to it. So yeah. Odds are I'm safe. But I still can't get over the idea. I mean..what if? Mom can't loose another daughter. She lost Nat and Dad to that program, she can't loose me. The woman would go completely insane.

So yeah. It's in just a week or so, this trip. I'll try to warn everyone...but it'll be useless. They'll be all "Awww...pwooor widdle Akemi, scwared of the dwark!" or some shit like that.

Meh.

I swear...mom's being even more paranoid lately. Hell, I thought I was. I guess probably because it was this time of the year when Natsumi got killed. But I already told her..I'm not going on any school trips. I'm not that stupid. Fucking goverment. I'm not stupid enough to fall for it.

Beside...not like I'd want to hang out with anyone in the class anyway. Well..maybe Kyo. He's always been nice.
